Sausage Balls

Sausage Balls are one of the easiest things to make, and everybody loves them. Most recipes for Sausage Balls are the same, and have you noticed that a lot of the Sausage Balls you eat are dry? There is a reason, way too much Bisquick.

Set 1 LB of breakfast sausage and a 2 cup package of sharp cheddar cheese (most recipes only call for 1 cup of cheese) on the counter for about an hour. It is always easier to combine the cheese and sausage when they are room temperature. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Spray your broiler pan with cooking spray.

In a mixer, mix together the sausage and the 2 cups of cheese. Once the sausage and cheese are combined, add 2 1/4 cup of Bisquick (not the regular 3 cups)to the sausage mixture. Trust me on this, it will make a big difference. Scoop out TBS size balls and put them on the broiler pan. Cook the sausage balls for 10 minutes, then flip them over and cook for 7 more minutes. Let them cool on a cooling rack. Enjoy some very cheesy delicious Sausage Balls.
